Tom Gambrah, Managing Director
Tom Gambrah is the founder and managing director of Premium Foods Limited, one of Ghana's leading indigenous agribusiness enterprise, championing high local productivity, efficient post-harvest management in maize and other cereals through cost effective processing and preservation technologies. In so doing, Tom has been the driving force in promoting the well-being of farmers (both small holder and large scale) and guaranteeing enhanced products to PFL’s customers through value addition.
Tom’s indepth knowledge of and excellent maneuverability among all levels of actors in the grains and cereal value chains in Ghana allows him to successfully build consensus among government ministries, departments and agencies, policy makers, development partners, local and traditional leaders, producers, processors, marketers, transporters and the financial sectors. Tom is also a strong proponent of Private Public Partnerships and has tirelessly worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Trade and Industry, NGOs and academic bodies to standardize technical assistance provision to small-holder farmers in the three Northern, Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions.
Tom Gambrah as a founding member and the chairman of the Ghana Grains Council has successfully steered the Council to develop a warehouse receipts system for the grains market in Ghana to reduce post harvest losses and guarantee producers reliable payment for their produce. He is applying his experience with GCC in his role as a member of the interim committee of the proposed West African Grains Network. The West African Grains Network has the vision to create a holistic commercial platform that will facilitate the movement of grains across the sub-region.
Tom is a strong advocate for the active participation of the Private Sector in Agricultural (PSiA) in Ghana. As a key actor in the realization of the Ghanaian private sector’s involvement in agriculture, Tom has contributed immensely to the formulation process of the PSIA, which is slated to be the administrative body to manage the realization of the objectives of the private sector in the agricultural sector.
Tom is a member of the Leadership Council of the G8 New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition Cooperation Frameworks in Ethiopia, Ghana, and Tanzania. In this position, Tom is poised to facilitate the active involvement of the Ghanaian private sector in agriculture to ensure a higher level of productivity, guarantee more young people’s involvement in the agricultural sector and ensuring economic emancipation through agriculture for the vast majority of Ghanaians engaged in the sector.

Mr Kennedy A. Apam is a Chartered Accountant with experience working across several commercial organizations, including Persol Systems Ltd., TOR, Minerals Commission and Millicom Ghana Ltd.
Safiyatu Umar completed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2012 and have since then been working with Premium Foods Limited as the QA/SHE Officer. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
Foster Frimpong has a Bsc. in Food Process Engineering which he blends with his experience of leadership in the University of Ghana in various academic and non-academic associations, to lead the production team at Premium Foods Limited.
Prince Andoh has worked with Premium Foods Limited for over seven (7) years. Prince holds an BBA in Business Administration from the Ghana Business University College, Affiliated to Cape Coast University, Ghana.
Matthew Seuyellu ensures maximum efficiency in the supply chain, through the careful management of the inflow, monitoring and outflow of stocks in across all of PFL.
Joined Premium Foods Limited in October 2008 as Accounts Clerk. Made Head of the Finished Goods Warehouse in March 2014. Also acting as IT Support staff for IT Administration and all other IT related issues of the company.
David N. Nathan has a diploma in General Agriculture from the College of Agriculture, Nyankpala awarded in 1987 as well as a certificate in Irrigation Agronomy by the Kpong Irrigation College.
